Nature Painting

Yesterday Lily and I went for a walk in Idlewild Park. It was a beautiful, warm afternoon and we used the opportunity to gather pinecones, leaves and grasses for our science project. Lily is studying plant structure and life cycles. Today we painted the leaves and then pressed into her nature journal.

Indian Village

Lily and Gabe built Plains Indian villages during Thanksgiving at Grandma's house (back in November!). They first gathered leaves, grasses, branches from outside; dried beans and paper from inside and then had a great time composing the setting!
